The New Zealand Asia Pacific Musicians Association Incorporated (APMA) is a charitable society duly registered and incorporated under the Incorporated Societies Act 1908.
We are aiming to help all musicians, as well as promote Chinese music. Members of the Association organize a variety of musical events, thus encouraging musical explorations that help carry forward the world's best musical traditions. Focusing on cutting edge developments in world culture, the goal is to learn from the countries with outstanding cultural achievements and promote music related themes, genres, forms and styles of contrasting nature.
APMA also deals with the organization of competitions, awards for outstanding musicians, music education achievements and the acknowledgement any other person or institution that has made a significant contribution to promoting artistic development in our society. An additional goal of the society is to promote the exchange of knowledge through seminars and other activities that encourage the development of performing arts and music education as well as music publication and research.
Members of APMA support the collecting of data and materials related to ethnomusicology and folk music heritage, and the fine tradition of classical music. This work encompasses, but is not restricted to, music compositions such as Chinese Music, Asian Music and New Zealand music.
We have been supporting local music competitions every year since 1997. Our organization has been named the Chinese Supporting Group, which is a non-profit charitable organization. We raise funds solely by our own personal donations. We would like to continue helping more musicians and create more benefits to New Zealand musicians. We will raise funds, seek sponsors and look for additional support to achieve our goals.
APMA is a non-profit and charitable organization that depends upon donations from the public to support our efforts to provide educational programs and musical events designed to move the music forward in a well-received and effective way and to be of immediate benefit to all professional and amateur musicians. 新西蘭亞太音樂家協會是個完全對廣大音樂專業人士、培訓機構和從事與音樂相關行業的人士開放的組織，完全是公益、非贏利性質的。目前已有大量新西蘭的知名音樂家、音樂教育家及從事音樂專業工作的人士加入，這些會員包括有音樂學院的教授、音樂專業的博士、碩士、學士、等高端人才，並源源不斷地得到來自本地和亞太其他地區音樂家的入會申請。 我們同時歡迎廣大音樂專業人士的加入。新西蘭亞太音樂家協會將竭誠為廣大會員提供高質量的專業化服務。
